HomeMy WebLinkAbout8.2 Committee Appointment OF DpB�4- I9 e_182 AGENDA STATEMENT HERITAGE AND CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION FOOl� MEETING DATE: January 11, 2007 SUBJECT: Committee Appointments Prepared by John Hartnett, Heritage & Cultural Arts Supervisor ATTACHMENTS: None RECOMMENDATION: Make Appointments FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None DESCRIPTION: There are committees that require the representation of a member of the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission. As per the Bylaws and Rules of Procedure for the Commission, "The Commission or the Chairperson, upon direction of the Commission, may appoint several of its members,but less than a quorum, to serve as a Committee". A summary of the various committees and the current representatives and alternates are shown below. Museum Assessment Committee An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation for an assessment and development of a strategic plan for the Dublin Heritage Center. Representative: Mary Beth Acuff Representative: Judy Lussie Alternate: vacant Shannon Community Center-Public Art Selection Committee An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide the City Council with a recommendation on artwork for the Shannon Community Center project. Representative: Mary Beth Acuff Alternate: Judy Lussie Art Takes Place Steering Committee An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide support to the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation on recommendations for art programs for the Art Takes Place regional project.
