Park and Recreation Commission, the Commission discussed future
trail development in Dublin and reviewed trail systems in
neighboring communities. After a brief presentation by staff and
interested community members. The Commission directed staff to
do further study on potential trail development in Dublin and the
extended planning areas and report back to the Commission at a
future meeting.
Staff has met with a representative from East Bay Regional Park
District (EBRPD) to discuss present and proposed EBRPD trails
that fall within Dublin or the Eastern and Western extended
planning areas. The proposed Regional Trails Masterplan for
EBRPD was obtained and will be reviewed for the Commission at the
meeting. As shown on the Masterplan there is potential for trail
development within Dublin that will link up with regional trail
systems. Additionally EBRPD, through the City -District Liaison
Committee, will be preparing a slide show of open space and trail
opportunities for viewing by the Commission at a later date.
