Dublin Sports Grounds Use Fees
At the April 24 , 1990 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission , the
President of Dublin Little League requested that consideration be given to
dropping field use fees at the Dublin Sports Grounds for youth sports
organizations . As this item was not on the agenda , the Commission directed
staff to place it on a future agenda for discussion .
It has been the intention of staff to revise the policy as there are areas
that are unclear . Additionally we get many requests for field use for
tournaments which is not addressed in the current policy . With regards to
Mr . Climer ' s request , staff would like to conduct a survey of other cities
and other Little Leagues to determine fees and charges throughout the
Valley . Additionally , staff would like to determine current costs for
grounds maintenance at the Dublin Sports Grounds in order to substantiate
assessment of field use fees . Each user group will be requested to provide
a financial statement indicating the monies taken in and their expenses .
Diane indicated that she would need at least two months to conduct the
survey . It is anticipated that the information should completed and
available for the Commission ' s review in the Fall .
The Commission concurred with staff recommendation to conduct a survey
prior to pursuing revisions to the Field Use Policy .
