DUBLIN SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
AGENDA STATEMENT
MEETING DATE:August 5, 2004
SUBJECT: Relocation of the Senior Center Advisory Committee Meetings
ATTACHMENTS: None
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend whether or not to relocate meetings to the Dublin Civic
Center.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: Staff recommends relocating the Senior Center Advisory Committee
meetings to the Council Chambers at the Dublin Civic Center from the Dublin Unified School District
Board Room. The primary reason for the change is to have access to a public address system, as well as a
better audio recording system for taking minutes. The Council Chambers are also more conducive to
making presentations and conducting public hearings. The room could be booked consistently on the
regularly scheduled meeting day.
Meetings were originally scheduled at the Dublin Unified School District Board Room due to its
proximity to the Senior Center. At the time, the Advisory Committee meetings were scheduled on the
same day as the monthly special luncheons. That allowed Staff to quickly return to the Senior Center to
prepare for the event. Now that the meeting dates no longer conflict with the monthly special luncheons,
the proximity to the Senior Center isn't necessary for Staff.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Advisory Committee recommend whether or not to relocate meetings to the Dublin
Civic Center.
