DESCRIPTION: The Dublin Senior Center continues to strive to provide diverse
activities that strengthen participants' cognitive, physical and emotional abilities. The Dublin Senior
Center offers a variety of classes, activities, and programs that engage the mind, body, and spirit of
participants. The active aging and fitness programs, such as Fitness over Fifty, the Trail Trekkers
Walking Group, and Line Dance Classes help to promote and encourage physical wellness, core strength
and balance.
Traditional recreation offerings such as cards and bingo not only entertain but also engage the mind,
foster mental dexterity, and encourage social interaction. The watercolor, art appreciation and craft
classes as well as the reading and writing courses instill in the participants a sense of pride and
accomplishment while providing the opportunity for a creative form of expression and self-discovery, be
it in a finished painting, a drawing or an essay. The Trips and Tours Program and extended travel
programs, result in multiple benefits for participants. Travel opens up a whole new world of discovery,
experience and lifelong learning Exploring exotic cultures, consuming novel foods, and meeting new
people engage all of one's abilities and senses.
Recurring events, like the daily lunch program, weekly food distribution, and monthly special luncheons
are reassuring and dependable. These activities reinforce community relations and maintain nutritional
balance. Following is a summary of attendance at the Senior Center during the fall.

enjoyed a day at the races at Golden Gate Fields. Over forty seniors enjoyed a day at the Palace of the
Legion of Honor with the low cost transportation provided by the Dreyer's Bus/Black Tie Limousine Van

The Special Luncheons have also seen a steady increase in attendance. Although the September
