For drop-in attendance, Staff estimated a conservative average of four people an hour, or an average of 30 people a day who "drop-in". These are either new patrons or visitors coming to register for various trips, workshops and activities. Another reason for the increase is the opening of the new Wicklow Square Apartments adjacent to the Senior Center. These residents enjoy visiting the lounge, watching the television, using the computers and reading free issues of the Valley Times and the Tri Valley Herald. SEPTEMBER The September Luncheon, which was the first Special Luncheon offered at the new Senior Center, drew a crowd of 45 people who enjoyed the western sounds of a four-piece band. The day trips in September included a visit to the Santa Cruz Senior Follies, and Sonoma. The trip to the Cowgirl Creamery in Marin was cancelled due to lack of interest.
