IXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Youth t�dvisory Cotnmittee will teceive presentations from qualified Youth Advisory Committee Mini
Grant Program applicants. After the last presentation, the Youth Advisory Cominittee will deliberate and
consider the amount of grant funding to be awarded to each applicant.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Youth Advisory Committee Mini Grant Program has a total of$1,600 budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2016-
2017 Budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive applicant presentations, deliberate, and approve the amount of grant funding to be awarded to each
applicant.
DESCRIPTION:
At a Special Youth Advisory Coinmittee Meeting on November 16, 2016, the Advisory Coininittee Members
reviewed and rated each submitted Youth Advisory Coinmittee Mini Grant application. After reviewing each
application, the Youth Advisory Comnuttee selected qualified organizations/clubs to attend the December 7,
2016 Youth Advisory Corrunittee meeting to provide a presentation in support oE their funding requests.
On November 17, 2016 Staff invited the selected qualified organizations/clubs: Dublin High Best Buddies
' Club, Dublin High's Plushies Aimed to Comfort Hearts (P.A.T.C.H) Club, Dublin High Model United
Nations, Fallon Middle School California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF), and Wells Middle School
Leadership Club, to each present a five-minute presentation before the Youth Advisory Conunittee.
Presenters will be asked to sign-in with Staff and present in the order in which they arrive to the meeting.
�fter the last presentation, the Youth Advisory Coininittee Members will deliberate and discuss the amount
of grant funding to be awarded to each applicant. Staff will inform presenters that they are welcome to stay

for the duration of the meeting and observe the Committee's discussion and decision on grant funding
requests.
Staff will notify awarded grant applicants by phone and email on or before December 9, 2016. Awarded
organizations/clubs will be required to report to Staff no later than May 19,2017,with a letter stating how the
funding from the Youth Mini Grant was used,if the goals were met,and the impact on the program.
