This program will bring convenience to the consumer by rec�uesting a waiver annually as opposed to daily, allow the use of pre-funded cards instead of pa5�in�; for activities dail��, and allo�v the Citp to better account for � whc> is using the Seni�>r Ccnrer should there be a medical cmer�enc�� <�r disaster, requiring quick access to � necessar�� medicaJ information. �� FINANCIAL IMPACT: A re�;istrati�n fee woulc� ce�lace the current Supp�>rrer pro�;ram and hclp t�� ��ffset the administrative eosts tc� adininister the pro�;ram. '1"hc suggcstcd fcc for thc Senior Center Registration Card would be �a20 yearl}� for residents and �24 for non-residents. Patrons 85 and older would recei��e h�>nc�rary starus and n�> annual fee. A card program would fcature the following benefits to patrons: • Each person �vould be asked to annually complete an emergenc�- rnedical and waiver form and receive a card Eor doing so. • The Senior Center quarterly newslctter, the `Dublin Doin�s" �vould bc cmailed to them or availablc � for pick-up. • During senior_ progra�nmin�;hours, access to shared use of the rele��ision, lounge, patios and computer center, free cotfee and snacks, attendance at free workshops, use of jigsaw puzzles, and use oE the lending librar�� (bool:s, magazines, CDs). � • All drop-in classes arc charged thc rcgistcred ratc as opposcd to a non-registered (dail��) rate of a minimum of�2 per class more than r.he registered rate. • Opportunit}' to prE-pa}' to participate in multiple activities/j�rograms with monthl}� and/or c�uarterly �� options. Tor th�se who are nor interested in registering for a card, the follrnvin� conditions would apply: • A day use pass �vould cost°�5 Eor leisure use oE the facilit}' (this �UOUId als� be in acldition to ant�class or ptogram fee, e�cluding d�e luncli progratn). � • Drop-in classes would be cha�-ged at a higher rate; a minimu�n of�2 per class more than those who � are registered. � • Non card holders would be rec�uired to com�lete an emer�;enc}��vaiver Eorm on each visit or program � rc�;istr�tion.
