HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 146-90 SellCityPropStroud RESOLUTION NO. 146-90 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN STATING INTENTION TO SELL CITY PROPERTY AND SETTING HEARING WHEREAS, Philip Smith, as agent for Stroud's Plaza (Town and Country Shopping Center), requested the City to enter into negotiations to sell approximately 4,451.68 square feet of City property adjacent to San Ramon Road south of Amador Valley Boulevard, and more particularly described in "Exhibit A" attached hereto, in conjunction with development of a new retail building on and adjacent to the subject property; and WHEREAS, on June 11, 1990, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 65-90 establishing said property as surplus and directing Staff to notify appropriate agencies; and WHEREAS, all public agencies required to be notified have declined interest in purchasing said property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin finds that it is in the public interest and convenience to sell the subject property, and that the City COuncil intends to sell said property, and that the City Council hereby fixes December 10, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA, as the time and place for hearing protests to the proposed sale. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council directs Staff to publish notice of said hearing one time in the Valley Times and to post notice of said hearing in at least three conspicuous places on or before December 1, 1990. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 26th day of November, 1990.
