STAFF REPORT
CITY COUNCIL
DATE: June 20, 2017
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
FROM:
Christopher L. Foss, City Manager
SUBJECT:
Amendment to Agreement with Tri-Valley Janitorial to Add the Wave
Facility for Maintenance Services
Prepared by: Nancy McDonnell, Management Analyst
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will consider approving an amendment to the City's janitorial
maintenance agreement to include The Wave facility.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the Resolution Approving an Amendment to the Agreement with Tri-Valley
Janitorial Service & Supply, Inc.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The proposed amendment increases the total contract amount by $58,680 for daily
janitorial services. There is sufficient budget in the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Budget Update
to cover these costs.
DESCRIPTION:
The City currently contracts with Tri-Valley Janitorial Service & Supply, Inc. (Tri-Valley)
for janitorial services at all City facilities (Attachment 3). Now that the City’s newest
facility, The Wave at Emerald Glen Park, enters its first operational season, Staff
desires to amend the contract with Tri-Valley to add this new facility to vendor cleaning
schedules.
In anticipation of the opening of The Wave, sufficient budget was included within the
Building Management Program budget for Fiscal Year 2017 -18 for janitorial services.
Approval of the contract amendment (Attachment 2) will allocate those funds to the Tri-
Valley contract.
NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
None.
