Tuesday, February 14, 2017
1. CALL TO ORDER & PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
A regular meeting of the City of Dublin Planning Commission was held on Tuesday,
February 14, 2017, in the City Council Chambers located at 1 00 Civic Plaza. Vice Chair
Mittan called the meeting to order at 5:42 p.m.
Present: Vice Chair Mittan; Commissioner Bhuthimethee; Kothari, Wright, and
Qureshi; Jeff Baker, Assistant Community Development Director; Tim
Cremin, Assistant City Attorney; Caroline P. Soto, City Clerk, and Debra
LeClair, Recording Secretary.
Absent: None.
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
2.1 Administration of Oath of Office by Caroline Soto, City Clerk, to Newly
Appointed Planning Commissioners Amit Kothari, Stephen Wright, and
Samir Qureshi
City Clerk Caroline Soto administered the Oath of Office to the new Planning
Commissioners.
2.2 Election of Officers for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson
On motion of Cm. Bhuthimethee, seconded by Cm. Qureshi and by unanimous
vote, the Planning Commission appointed Scott Mittan to the position of Chair of
the Commission.
On motion of Cm. Mittan, seconded by Cm. Qureshi and by unanimous vote, the
Planning Commission appointed Tara Bhuthimethee to the position of Vice Chair
of the Commission.
2.3. Planning Commission Training; Overview of the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA), the Brown Act, and use of Social Media
Tim Cremin, Assistant City Attorney, presented training on the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Brown Act, and use of social media.
3. CONSENT CALENDAR –
On motion of Cm. Bhuthimethee, seconded by Cm. Kothari and by unanimous vote, the
Planning Commission took the following actions:
Approved (3.1) the minutes of the December 13, 2016 meeting.
