HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 75-17 Adopting an Update to The Master Fee Schedule RESOLUTION NO. 75 — 17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ADOPTING AN UPDATE TO THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BYTHE CITY WHEREAS, the California Constitution authorizes local government to recover the reasonable costs of providing services; and WHEREAS, the City processes various permits, applications, and licenses, and offers various recreational program and facility rental opportunities; and WHEREAS, on September 4, 2012, the City Council approved Resolution 160-12 Establishing a User Fee Cost Recover Policy that specifies annual adjustments to fees for services provided by the City; and WHEREAS, on June 20, 2017, the City Council reviewed the FY 2017-18 Updated Master Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, fees and charges for recreation programs were reviewed by the Parks and Community Services Commission on June 19, 2017. WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to defer consideration of all of the revised Parks and Community Services fees until such time that they consider a thorough evaluation of the proposed policy changes reflected in the revised fees, including the Facility Rental Fee changes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin adopts the updated Master Fee Schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A with the exception of the proposed Parks and Community Services fees. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing Parks and Community Services fees, included in the Master Fee Schedule approved by Resolution 111-16, shall remain in place until the City Council completes its review of those fees and amends the Master Fee Schedule. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the new fees identified in said Master Fee Schedule, with the exception of the Parks and Community Services Fees, shall be effective beginning July 1, 2017. For those items billed as "time and materials," the fees and overhead rates shown in Exhibit A shall be applicable to services provided beginning July 1, 2017. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as otherwise designated in Exhibit A, the fees therein shall be automatically adjusted annually using the adjustment methodology in Resolution No. 160-12 establishing a User Fee Cost Recovery Policy adopted by the City Council on September 4, 2012.
