A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING THE INITIATION OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT STUDY TO EVALUATE
CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF APPROXIMATELY 76 ACRES PRIMARILY
BOUND BY TASSJARA ROAD, INTERSTATE 580, BRANNIGAN STREET AND GLEASON DRIVE
(APNS: 985-0051-004-00 THRU- 006-00; 985-0052-024-00 THRU 025-00);

WHEREAS, On August 23, 2017, the City received a letter from Shea Properties requesting
that the City Council consider initiating another General Plan Amendment Study to change the
existing Neighborhood Commercial, General Commercial, Medium High Density Residential, High
Density Residential, and Public/Semi-Public land use designations to accommodate up to 450,000
square feet of commercial uses and up to 700 residential units within the project area; and
WHEREAS, the Study Area is comprised of five parcels totaling 76.17 acres; and
WHEREAS, the applicant anticipates that the proposed land uses would be General
Commercial, Mixed Use, Medium High Density Residential and Medium Density Residential; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan Amendment Study initiation request has been reviewed in
accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and was found to
be Categorically Exempt under Section 15306, Class 6 of the State CEQA Guidelines, and
WHEREAS, a Staff Report was submitted outlining the issues surrounding the General Plan
Amendment Study initiation request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hear and consider all such reports, recommendations, and
testimony hereinabove set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council does hereby approve the
initiation of a General Plan Amendment Study to evaluate changing the land use designation of the
study area to accommodate development of up to 450,000 square feet of commercial uses and up to
700 residential units.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3`d day of October 2017, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Biddle, Goel, Gupta, and Hernandez
NOES: Councilmember Goel and Mayor Haubert
