CITY OF DUBLIN
May 15, 2017
A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Parks and Community Services Commission was held on
Monday, May 15, 2017 in the Council Chamber of the Dublin Civic Center. The meeting was
called to order at 7:24 PM by Chair Thalblum once a quorum was present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited by the Commission, Staff, and those present.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners (Cm.) Present: Madigan, Smith McDonald, Thalblum, Tucker
Commissioners Absent: Bedi, Giller
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
3.1 Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report
Youth Advisory Committee Chair and Vice Chair Nicki Butler and James Wang, respectively,
presented the Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report.
3.2 Brief Informational Only Reports from the Senior Center and Youth Advisory
Committees
Senior Center Advisory Committee
Senior Center Advisory Committee Member Claire Salsman reported on the May 4, 2017 Senior
Center Advisory Committee meeting and upcoming events at the Senior Center.
Youth Advisory Committee—None.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4.1 Regular Meeting April 17, 2017
On a motion by Cm. Madigan, seconded by Cm. Smith McDonald, and by a vote of 4-0-0 with
Cms. Bedi and Giller absent, the Commission took the following action:
ACTION
Approved minutes of the April 17, 2017 Regular Meeting as presented.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS— None.
PUBLIC HEARING — None.

8.1 Youth Fee Assistance Program
Recreation Supervisor Ms. Lisa McPherson presented the specifics of the item as outlined in the
Staff Report.
Commissioners commented on the Program's benefits and offered additional suggestions for
promoting the Program.
ACTION
The Commission received the Report.
OTHER BUSINESS
Commissioners provided brief informational reports on events and meetings attended over the
past month.
Staff provided program, project, and event updates.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Parks and Community Services
Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 7:54 PM.
