Minutes of the February 1, 2018 Regular Senior Center Advisory
Committee

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Senior Advisory Committee will consider approval of the minutes of the February 1,
2018 Regular Meeting of the Senior Center Advisory Committee.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the minutes of the February 1, 2018 Regular Meeting of the Senior Center
Advisory Committee.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Advisory Committee will consider approval of the minutes of the February 1,
2018 Regular Meeting of the Senior Center Advisory Committee.

The February 1, 2018 Regular Meeting of the Senior Advisory Committee was called to order
at 9:35 AM at the Dublin Senior Center by Chair E. Mack.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by the Commission, Staff and those present.
ROLL CALL
Committee Members Present: Kaur, C. Mack, E. Mack
Committee Members Absent: He
Liaison Present: Philip Tucker, Parks and Community Services
Commission Liaison
Staff Present: Phillips
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
3.1 Public Comments –
Mr. Philip Tucker, Dublin resident and representative of Senior Softball provided
information regarding the growth in popularity of Senior Softball leagues in the area. Mr.
Tucker also encouraged the Senior Center Advisory Committee to share his contact
information with interested seniors wishing to learn more and how to register to play.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
4.1 Minutes of the December 7, 2017 Regular Meeting
On a motion by CM C. Mack, seconded by CM Kaur, with Committee Member He
absent and by a vote of 3-0-0, the Senior Advisory Committee took the following action:
ACTION
Approved minutes of the December 7, 2017 Regular Meeting as presented.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS – None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
NEW BUSINESS
7.1 Election of Officers
Mr. Tyler Phillips, Recreation Coordinator, presented the item as outlined in the Staff
Report.
On a motion by CM E. Mack, seconded by CM C. Mack, with Committee Member He
absent and by a vote of 3-0-0, the Senior Advisory Committee took the following action:

Elected CM C. Mack as Senior Center Advisory Committee Chair for 2018.
On a motion by CM E. Mack, seconded by CM C. Mack, with Committee Member He
absent and by a vote of 3-0-0, the Senior Advisory Committee took the following action:
ACTION
Elected CM Kaur as the Senior Center Advisory Committee Vice Chair for 2018.
7.2 Updated Senior Center Advisory Committee Bylaws and Rules of
Procedure
Mr. Tyler Phillips, Recreation Coordinator, presented the item as outlined in the Staff
Report.
ACTION
The Advisory Committee received the Report.
7.3 Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee
Mr. Tyler Phillips, Recreation Coordinator, presented the item as outlined in the Staff
Report.
On a motion by CM E. Mack, seconded by CM C. Mack, with Committee Member He
absent and by a vote of 3-0-0, the Senior Advisory Committee took the following action:
ACTION
Appointed CM E. Mack and CM Kaur to the Dublin Benefit Concert Subcommittee.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Advisory Committee Members and Staff provided brief reports on meetings
attended over the past month and upcoming events.
Liaison Tucker provided a brief informational report on events and meetings attended
over the past month.
CM C. Mack agreed to attend the March Parks and Community Services Commission
meeting and provide the Advisory Committee report. CM C. Mack also shared
information regarding transportation options for seniors in the area.
Mr. Tyler Phillips, Recreation Coordinator, informed the Committee of upcoming City
events.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 AM.
