Senior Advisory Committee Work Plan

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Committee will discuss and establish the Senior Advisory Committee Work Plan.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Discuss and establish the Senior Advisory Committee Work Plan.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Advisory Committee will discuss and establish a Work Plan consisting of
goals and objectives. Staff has outlined a schedule of events and action items that
support each goal. Staff advises that the Senior Advisory Committee review, discuss,
and approve the following proposed Work Plan:
WORK PLAN GOAL #1 Plan and coordinate events that support the Senior Fee
Assistance Program.
Objective 1.1 Manage the City’s Parks and Community
Services booth at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival
at Civic Center on either March 16 or 17, 2019.
Objective 1.2 Establish a subcommittee and partner with the
Youth Advisory Committee to host a Benefit
Concert scheduled for April, 2019.
WORK PLAN GOAL #2 Promote activities, programs, and volunteer opportunities at
the Senior Center.

Objective 2.1 Develop a list of Dublin Senior Living
Communities for staff to email monthly lunch
schedules and newsletters by August, 2018.
Objective 2.2 Create and implement a Senior Center
Informational pamphlet by November, 2018.
Objective 2.3 Conduct outreach to other organizations within
Dublin to promote the Senior Center by
January, 2019.
WORK PLAN GOAL #3 Plan and implement quarterly day events at the Senior
Center.
Objective 2.1 Assist Staff in planning and implementing
quarterly day events at the Senior Center by
October, 2018.
WORK PLAN GOAL #4 Tri-Valley Senior Center Round Table.
Objective 2.1 Assist Staff in conducting a round table at the
Dublin Senior Center for Tri-Valley Senior
Center representatives to attend in either
February or March, 2019. Trends, programs,
volunteering, and sponsorship ideas will be
discussed.
