Certificate of Recognition for the Dublin Chamber of Commerce's 50th
Anniversary

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will present a certificate of recognition to the Dublin Chamber of
Commerce in honor of their 50th anniversary. The Chamber of Commerce has played
an important part in Dublin's history during the past half -century and continues to be a
strong partner with the City today, particularly regarding their advocacy for local
businesses.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Present the certificate to the Chamber of Commerce.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DESCRIPTION:
The City Council will present a Certificate of Recognition to the Dublin Chamber of
Commerce (“Chamber”) in honor of their 50th Anniversary.
The Chamber has played an important part in Dublin's history during the past half -
century and continues to be a strong partner with the City today, particularly regarding
their advocacy for local businesses.
The Chamber has long supported the needs of local businesses and has developed an
effective variety of programs and services including annual signa ture events,
educational workshops, business mixers, ribbon cutting events for new businesses, and
more.
The City has long enjoyed an effective working relationship with the Dublin Chamber of
Commerce. Since 2011, the City and Chamber have worked together to deliver the

“Discover Dublin CA” social media campaign in support of Dublin businesses. More
recently, in 2016, the City strengthened our partnership with a $20,000 annual
sponsorship contribution in exchange for:
Recognition of the City as a Partnership Sponsor for signature Chamber events.
Continued collaboration on shop local campaigns and the Discover Dublin
Facebook page.
Chamber-hosted educational forums for the Dublin business community, such as
the Economic Development Speaker Series and the City’s annual State of the
City luncheon.
The Chamber is an active part of the Dublin community and provides valuable
opportunities for the City to connect with the local business community throughout the
year.
