A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS
WITH GRANITE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR DUBLIN BOULEVARD WIDENING PROJECT,
CIP NO. ST1012.
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2018, the City of Dublin entered into a contract with Granite
Construction Company to construct the Dublin Boulevard Widening Project, CIP No. ST1012; and
WHEREAS, City Council of the City of Dublin authorized the City Manager or his designee to
approve Contract Change Orders based on the appropriated funds designated for the Project up to
the contingency amount of$575,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby incorporate additional improvements to be constructed by the project, to include repaving and
installing video detection at the intersection of Dublin and Dougherty, installation of street lighting
along the Dublin Sports Grounds parking lot, and emergency pavement repairs on Village Parkway at
an estimated $500,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
incorporate additional improvements to be constructed by the project to include improvements
constructed by the City of Dublin within the Project limits for and to be reimbursed by Zayo
Communications at an estimated $25,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby authorize
the City Manager or his designee to execute Contract Change Orders with Granite Construction
Company up to the revised contingency amount of $1,100,000.00 and increase the not to exceed
contract total to $6,778,454.
