HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 124-88 DUSD MeasABondRESOLUTION N0. 124 - 88 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ENDORSING THE DUBLIN JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOND MEASURE A WHEREAS, the Dublin Joint Unified School District has placed a Dublin School Bond Issue (Measure A), on the November 8, 1988 ballot; and WHEREAS, Measure A would raise $3.5 million in bond proceeds for the purpose of undertaking the following improvements: 1) Repair the roof, heating/ventilation system at Dublin High School 2) Construct restrooms at Nielsen Elementary School 3) Construct a gymnasium facility and replace temporary classrooms at Wells Middle School; and WHEREAS, after carefully reviewing with the School District the merits of Measure A, the City Council believes that those improvements funded by Measure A will contribute to the quality of the educational experience received by Dublin students, and improve the quality of life'in our community. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin hereby endorses Measure A and encourages all residents to examine the benefits of this School Bond Issue and likewise support it. 1988.
