A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

APPROVING THE SALE OF PARCELS OF LAND
ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF INTERSTATE 580 TO SCHAEFER HEIGHTS, INC.,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
EXTENSION OF DUBLIN BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Tentative Map 6765 (Schaefer Ranch) was approved by the City of Dublin Planning
Commission on August 11. 1998. via Resolution 98-38. and
WHEREAS, a condition of the project required the Developer. Schaefer Heights. Inc.. to acquire
property from the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for access to the project
along Interstate 580~ and
WHEREAS, Caltrans agreed to sell the required property for the extension of Dublin Boulevard
for $15,000, but could only sell the property to a public agency~ and
WHEREAS, Schaefer Heights. Inc., deposited the required sum of $15.000 with the City of
Dublin for the purchase and agreed to take the City's position (requirements) in Caltrans' "Option to
Purchase"~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin agreed to be the intermediary for this exchange of land from the
State of California (Caltrans) to the Developer~ and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has paid the State of California (Caltrans) $15,000 for the
property~ and
WHEREAS, the State of California (Caltrans) has recorded the deed to the property in the name
of the City of Dublin;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the sale of
property to Schaefer Heights. Inc.. for the $15,000 previously paid to the City of Dublin.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the deed. attached
hereto as Exhibit "A". on behalf of the City.
PASSED. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September. 2004.
