Language included in Final Draft Plan Page II-3, Item 11, as adopted
September 28, 1987.
11. Prior to November 1, 1988, and at each five-year interval after the

Alameda County jurisdictions for a 50-year continuous period.

11. Prior to November 1, 1988, a base line permitted landfill capacity in
the Alameda County shall be established using the engineering

Alameda County for all the jurisdictions in Alameda County. The
engineering study shall be based upon the regulations and technology
prevailing at the time of application.
In no event shall any application from an agency outside of Alameda
County be approved with mitigation which would on the date of approval
reduce the permitted landfill capacity available to Alameda County
jurisdictions to less than 50 years.
Language included in Final Draft Plan Page II-8, Item 3(c), as adopted
September 28, 1987.
(c) Any proposed plan amendment to import waste for disposal in
Alameda County will be considered only after clear independent
evidence is presented demonstrating that either sufficient fully
permitted landfill capacity exists within Alameda County to serve
the needs of all County jurisdictions for a minimum 50-year
continuous period, or that mitigation fees are provided by the
project proponents to acquire such additional capacity.
Mitigation fees shall be provided to acquire replacement capacity
or to achieve source reduction.
