Johnson Prepared by: Cierra Fabrigas, Executive Aide EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The new Commander of Camp Parks, Lieutenant Colonel Serena D. Johnson will be introduced. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Welcome Lieutenant Colonel Serena D. Johnson. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. DESCRIPTION: The new Commander of Camp Parks, Lieutenant Colonel Serena D. Johnson, who started June 19, 2020, will be introduced. LTC Johnson will also provide the City Council with a brief report on the activities at Camp Parks. STRATEGIC PLAN INITIATIVE: None. NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH: None. ATTACHMENTS: 1. LTC Serena D. Johnson Biography LTC Serena D. Johnson LTC Johnson is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg where she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance in 1991. She received a Masters of Business of Administration from Clemson University in 1996. She obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant, E-6, prior to becoming a commissioned officer. She was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant through the South Carolina Army National Guard Palmetto Military Academy Officer Candidate School in 1998. LTC Johnson joined the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) program in 2007. Prior to joining the Active Guard Reserve program, LTC Johnson was a Senior Cost Analyst with Lockheed Martin in Greenville, South Carolina. Her military education includes Basic Training, Administration Specialist Course, Personnel Administrative Specialist Course, Personnel Records Specialist Course, Primary Leader Development Course (PLDC), Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course (BNCOC), Co/DET Pre- Command Course, Unit Commander’s Course, Adjutant General Officer Basic Course, Adjutant General Captain’s Career Course, Combined Arms Exercise (CAX) Course, Intermediate Level Education (ILE) Course, the Inspector General Course, the Advance Operations Course (AOC), and the Installation Management Command Pre-Command Course. She is currently enrolled in the Army War College (AWC), Department of Distance Education (DDE).
