A Special Meeting of the Dublin Heritage & Cultural Arts Commission was held on
Thursday, April 4, 2019, in the City of Dublin Council Chamber. The meeting was
called to order at 7:00 PM, by Chairperson Sammy Jo Rudy.

2.1. Presentation by the Dublin Historical Preservation Association
Cm. Rudy called Steve Minniear to the podium.
Steve Minniear, president of the Dublin Historical Preservation Association,
presented an overview of the organization's mission, history, past and current
projects, and the partnership with the City of Dublin.
Cm. Rudy opened the floor for questions from Commissioners.
Commissioners asked about the organization's current membership and past
achievements.
Mr. Minniear responded to the Commissioner's questions.
Seeing no other questions, Cm. Rudy closed the floor and thanked Mr. Minniear
for his presentation and for his organization's contributions and efforts.

Cm. Minniear requested item 3.1 be pulled for discussion

3.1. Approve the minutes of the March 14, 2019 Meeting of the Heritage and
Cultural Arts Commission.
Cm. Rudy opened discussion on item 3.1 of the Consent Calendar
Cm. Minniear requested that item 3.2 in the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission
Meeting Minutes of March 14, 2019 be amended. Cm. Minniear stated it was the
Commission as a group that requested a meeting with the Parks and Community
Services Department Director, so the summarization should be revised to
representatives requesting the meeting as opposed to a sole representative (Steve
Minniear).
The Commission decided that it would approve the Heritage and Cultural Arts
Commission Meeting Minutes of March 14, 2019 with the amendment requested
by Cm. Minniear.

The Commissioners provided brief informational reports on a Dublin Arts Collective
meeting, the upcoming Parks and Recreation Master Plan focus groups, the meeting
with the Parks and Community Services Director, and the art selection process for the
Alameda County Fair. Cm. lharosi introduced herself and said she was glad to be back
on the Commission.

Tegan McLane, Heritage and Cultural Arts Manager, provided updates and details on
the utility boxes, the art work at the Kaiser Permanente building, Dublin Pride, Farmer's
Market, and the outdoor concert series.
9. Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Cm. Rudy at 7:34 PM.
