Thursday, September 5, 2019
A Regular Meeting of the Dublin Senior Advisory Committee was held on Thursday,
September 5, 2019, at the Dublin Senior Center. The meeting was called to order at
9:33 AM, by Chairperson Michele Wayland.
1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance
2. Oral Communications
2.1. Senior Center volunteer Linda Rolhf gave a presentation on the Blankets for Vets
Drop -in program.
3. Consent Calendar
3.1. Minutes of the August 1, 2019 Regular Meeting of the Dublin Senior Center
Advisory Committee.
Approved as presented in the report.
3.2. July 2019 Senior Center Monthly Report.
Received the report.
4. New Business

5. Other Business
5.1 The Advisory Committee members and Staff provided brief reports on
meetings attended and upcoming events.
CM Michele Wayland will attend the September Parks and Community Services
Commission meeting and provide the Senior Advisory Committee report.
Recreation Supervisor Rich Jochner informed the committee about the City's Splatter
Festival on September 14, the Imagine Playground groundbreaking on October 1 and
the Dougherty Hills Dog Park photo shoot on October 5.
CM Connie Mack advised the committee about the upcoming national census and the
need for census workers. Employment information will be available at the Senior
Center.
CM Susan Miller reported that a Senior Advisory subcommittee was developing
proposals for a Ping Pong tournament and a Senior Job Fair.
Parks and Community Services Commissioner Kristin Speck attended the meeting and
reported on the current activities of the Parks and Community Services Commission.

Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:00 AM.
