Thursday, November 5, 2020
A Regular Meeting of the Senior Center Advisory Committee was held on Thursday,
November 5, 2020 on Zoom. The meeting was called to order at 9:42 AM, by Vice
Chairperson Christine Sevier.
1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance

2.1 Recreation Supervisor Tyler Phillips introduced himself to the Committee.
3. Consent Calendar
3.1. Minutes of the March 5, 2020 Regular Meeting of the Senior Center
Advisory Committee
3.2. Senior Center Monthly Report for February through October 2020
The Committee approved the Consent Calendar.

5. New Business
5.1 Naming of the Senior Center Ballroom
The Senior Center Advisory Committee received a report from Recreation Coordinator
Liz Elliott regarding the naming of the ballroom.
CM Wayland joined the meeting during the presentation.
Committee Members were in support of naming the ballroom and discussed possible
names.
ti. Other Business
6.1 The Senior Center Advisory Committee Members and Staff provided brief
reports on meetings attended and upcoming events.
Committee Member Susan Miller attended the Dublin San Ramon Women's Ciub
meeting. Tt�e group will hold a canned food drive on November 7 at Shannon Community
Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 P.M.
Recreation Coordinator Liz Elliott informed the Committee of upcoming drive-thru
resource events and online classes.
Parks and Community Services Commissioner Kristen Speck informed the Committee of
recent park openings, including Clover Sunrise Park fieaturing the art piece "Arachnicat",
and the upcoming opening of Imagine Playground in December. She also gave an
overview of the new Heritage Park Memorial Program and the Christmas Lights Contest,

Being no further business, the meeting adjourned by Vice Chair Sevier at 10:3
