The Committee asked if the Open Heart Kitchen diner registration form needed to be
completed quarterly instead of annually. Staff said they would look into it but their
understanding was that the form needed to be done annually. The Committee asked if take-out
meals were still allowed. Staff’s understanding is that take-out meals are only on an emergency
basis and after three consecutive take-out meal requests; the patron is directed to contact
Meals on Wheels. CM. C. Mack commented that she hoped Open Heart Kitchen would have a
take-out program as many of those patrons still socialize with others at the Senior Center.
