DESCRJ[lP'1riON The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authonty (LA VTA) proVIdes
local publtc transIt servIce to the CItIes of DublIn, LIvermore and Pleasanton and to the adjacent
umncorporated areas of Alameda County Mayor Lockhart and CouncIlmember Oravetz are currently the
CIty'S representatIves on the LA VT A lP A Board of DIrectors CouncIlmember Oravetz WIll be steppmg
down from the Board and Mayor Lockhart IS recommendmg the appomtment of Councllmember
HIldenbrand on the LA VT A Board of DIrectors, as of February 5, 2008 The next appomtment to the
Board WIll be considered m December of 2008
Staff recommends that the City CouncIl approve the appomtment of CouncIl member Kasle HIldenbrand
as the delegate for the LIvermore-Amador Valley TranSIt Authonty JPA, and deSIgnate an alternate
