FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Recognize the sponsors and formally accept the contributions

DESCRIPTION: The 2nd Annual Family Sports Fest was held at Emerald Glen Park
on Sunday, May 4. Youth participants were able to compete in sanctioned competitions such as Major
League Baseball's Pitch, Hit and Run and the Junior Olympic sports of basketball, soccer, and track and
field. The winners advanced to represent Dublin in regional competitions. In addition to these
competitions, many other skill challenges and demonstrations were provided for all family members.
Youth sports groups in attendance and providing volunteers included the Dublin Falcons Football, Dublin
Little League, Dublin United Soccer League and St. Raymond's CYO. Whole Foods Market donated
healthy snacks, fruit and water for the event.
The inaugural Dublin Community Golf Tournament was held at Dublin Ranch Golf Course on Tuesday,
June 24. The event was intergenerational in nature, combining teens, adults and seniors on teams. The
tournament featured golf, a dinner banquet, a putting contest and a silent auction. Pinn Brothers Fine
Homes was the Founding Sponsor for the tournament.
These events were well supported by local businesses. The City received $2,350 in monetary
contributions in addition to in-kind donations of goods and services. A list of the major sponsors is
shown on the following page.

In recognition of their contributions, these sponsors and organizations will be presented with certificates
of appreciation for supporting Dublin. Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all
gifts and contributions be formally accepted by the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council recognize the sponsors and
formally accept the contributions.
