(ACTIA), the City of Dublin and the DC Berkeley Traffic Safety
Center for the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of an
Automated Bicycle Counter.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The City of Dublin will install the bicycle counter using its share of

implement the work.
DESCRIPTION: The ACTIA is partnering with the DC Berkeley Traffic Safety
Center to perform pedestrian and bicycle counts at 50 intersections throughout Alameda County. The goal
of the project is to obtain a sample of pedestrian and bicycle counts that may be used as a basis to predict
the number of pedestrians and bicyclists at intersections along arterials in Alameda County, and to also
track bicycle usage year-round. As part of the study, ACTIA is purchasing two bicycle counters and
requested that Dublin install a bicycle counter on one of the City's bicycle lanes. ACTIA will provide the
bicycle counter and would allow the City to use its share of ACTIA Bicycle and Pedestrian Pass-Through
funds to pay for the installation of the counter.
