This portion of the project was completed under budget; one Change
Order was approved that had no impact on the project cost.
DESCRIPTION: This project has two phases: a clean out of the storm drain system
and video recording of the existing pipe condition, and an assessment and report on the condition of the
storm drain system. The first phase was completed in Summer 2008 and included the oldest section of
Dublin (see Attachment 1). This multi-year project will establish an inventory of the City's storm drain
system as well as set forth a schedule for future maintenance of the system. Any repairs proposed at the
end of the project will create a new CIl' project for approval in the future.
This portion of the project is now complete. The second portion of the project is estimated to cost under
$20,000 and will be completed through a Request for Quotation.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements under Contract No. 08-03, 2007-2008
Citywide Street Storm Drain Condition Assessment and authorize the release of retention after 35 days
pending the submittal of the solid waste receipt from the contractor.
