Acceptance of Gifts to City from the Dublin Rotary and Host Lions
Clubs

FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
$4,800 in monetary contributions was received
DESCRIPTION: The development of the Dougherty Hills Park - Dog Park has
generated great interest not only from the community but also from service organizations. Both the
Rotary Club and Host Lions Club of Dublin have elected to support the project by making monetary
contributions. The Rotary Club sponsored the drinking fountain installed in the entry plaza for a total of
$4,500. The Lions Club sponsored the installation of one 24" box tree for a total of $300. These
generous contributions indicate the significance of this park to the community. Currently in its last month
ofthe plant establishment and maintenance period, the park will be open to the public by May 1 st.
In recognition of their contributions, these organizations will be presented with certificates of
appreciation. Per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be
formally accepted by the City Council.
RECOMMENDATION:
formally accept the contributions.
