A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
CITY OF DUBLIN

lVHEREAS, Ann Middleton, a Dublin resident, has been a Crossing Guard at Murray Elementary School
for the past two years, stationed at the corner of Bonniewood and Davona Drive in the City of Dublin; and
lVHEREAS, Ann Middleton is prompt, dependable, professional and has become an important part of the
children's everyday school life; and

lVHEREAS, Ann Middleton is retired from Dillingham Construction where she worked for ten years and
hasfour children andfour grandchildren; and
lVHEREAS, Crossing G'uards have continued to provide for the safety of school children in our
community, and the outstanding supervision and friendly demeanor provided by Ann Middleton has
promoted traffic safety educationfor children and motorists alike, and
lVHEREAS, Ann Middleton has been named recipient of the 2005-2006 School Crossing Guard of the
Year Award for the City of Dublin by All City Management Services, Inc., Schools' Pedestrian Crossing
Guard Committee; and
lVHEREAS, such distinguished and committed service to our community should not go unrecognized by
the City of Dublin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council expresses its heartfelt
appreciation to Ann Mic;ldleton for her outstanding service to school children in our community, and
extends sincere congratulations and best wishes on her receipt of the 2005-2006 School Crossing
Guard of the Year Awardfor the City of Dublin.
