DESCRIPTION: The City Council awarded the hId fur the Senior Center Furniture
project at the April 19, 2005 Council meeting to One Workplace. The Senior Center bid included,
hanquet tahles and chairs, classroom seating and tahles, game room seating and tables, office fllrnlshmgs,
sofas and lounge chairs for the public spaces, exterior seating and tables for the enclosed patio areas and
conference room furniture.
In addition Staff requested several items to augment the equipment needs of the facility. They included; a
presentation cart, ceiling speakers and paging speakers. These items were supplIed as part of Change
Order 1 in the amount of$9,227
The contraclual requirements of the furniture bid, including replacement of faulty banquet tables, have
now been completed.
RECOMMENDATION: It is tbe recommendatIon of Staff that the City Council adopt the
Resolution in Attachment I accepting the Senior Center Furniture, Contract 05-04

ACCEPT ANCE OF SENIOR CENTER FURNITURE CONTRACT 05-04
WHEREAS, On April 19, 2005 the CIty Council entered into an Agreement with, One Workplace
(Contractor) at a base bid (lfOne Hundred Eighty Four Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty.Four Dollars
($ 184,934) to complete the improvements for the Senior Center Fumiture Contract 05-04 in accordance
with plans and specifications on file with the City Engmeer;
WHEREAS, said improvements have been completed 111 accordance with said plans and
specifications, and any approved modifications thereof, to the salIsfacl10n of the City Engineer and Head
Building Oftleial ofthc City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, as a condition of said contract, One Workplace is required to warranty thc
improvements for a period of one year followl11g acceptance of the work by the said City of Dublin.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED iliat:
The improvcments arc completed per plans and specifications and subject to the one-year
guarantee; and
2_ The saId ongl11al performance bond posted in connection with ilie work involved in the
InstallatIon of saI(l project be bereby released upon acceptance of said warranty
