H7HEREAS, deemt, sqje and affirdable housing is one of the basic necessities of lijf and is of vital imp01tance to the health and well being of
all residents of the Ci~}I ~f Dublin; and
lVHEREAS, homeownership is the housing choice of most Americans; and
WHEREAS, promoting affirdable homeownership is a goal that crosses City boundaries; and
IVHEREAS, the Tri-Vallry Affirdable Housing Committee (which consists rif Dublin, Livermore, Pkasanton, San Ramon, Danville,
Alameda County, and Contra Costa County) is striving to coordinate tiffordable homeownership opportunities and work cooperatit'Cfy toward
meeting tbe comlllUlli{y's needs; and
WHh1lEAS, a regional Homeb'!Yer Clearinghouse eifOrt is now in progress as a vital tool to provide a central source of iiformation and
aJsistafUe to homeb!!}eIJ in the Tri- Valla' fry providing a central location to access homeownership opportunities; and
IVHEREAS, East B(!), Housing Organizations have organi~d eVt11ts- during Affordable Housing Week to acknQwledge the need for.
conl1ibutions of qjfordable housing; and
WHEREAS, the Ci!J.' Coumi! ~r the Ci!J of Dublin supports the ifforts toward the creation of a Homeb'!Yer Clearinghouse for the Tri-Vallry

NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED that I, Janet UJckhart, M'!}or of Dublin, on beha!f of the entire City
Council, here/~y proclaim the week of June 5 - June 13, 2004 as ~~ordable Housing Week" in the Ci!J of Dublin, and ca!!s upon all
residents of the Ciry of Dublin to learn about and honor the contributions of affordable housing ry participating in activities held throughout the
week to commemorate this obsemflnce. - ...... -
