WHEREAS, the Dublin High School lg/interguard are the 2003 and 2004 California Color Guard Circuit
Champions from a circuit of color guards from throughout Northern California; and
WHEREAS, 17~interguard International is the governing body mhich q~onsors the regional championship for color guards
from Ca(i/om& ~4d<ona, Oregon and lg~ashington with the Dublin High School lVinterguard flnishing as the 2004
IVinterguard International Hayward Regional Champions; and
WHEREAS, the Dublin High School V/interguard are also the 2004 lgTinterguard International 17~est Pomer Regional
Champions, which is a bigger regional and had schools from California, ~4d<ona, Oregon, Nero Mexico, Nevada, Idaho,
Colorado and lg/ashington; and
WHEREAS, given their strong pe~ormances in the regional championships, the Dublin High School 17;Tinterguard mere
invited to compete in the lgTinterguard International l~orld ChamPionships in San Diego, California, where they placed
fourth out of over 140 schools--essentially becoming '~Fhe Best in the W/est."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Janet Lockhar~, Mayor of Dublin, on behalf of the entire
Ciff Council, am pleased to ~ublic[y commend the Dublin High School V/interguard for their fine efforts, and to extend this
token of the affection and admiration vith which you are regarded in the City of Dubhn.
