SUBJECT: Transfer Agreement for Ted Fairfield Park Artwork, Birdwatch

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: At the January 15, 2002' meeting, the City Council approved the
proposed artwork for Ted Fairfield Park as commissioned by the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation. The
artwork entitled "Birdwatch" is by Oakland artist Johanna Poethig. The piece is a ceramic work
celebrating the birds in the area in a colorful and amusing play on the practice of bird watching. The
installation is now complete and the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation has prepared a Title to Artwork
Transfer (Attachment 1).
It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement to
transfer the title of Birdwatch from the Dublin Fine Arts Foundation to the City of Dublin.

Title To Artwork Transfer
FOP, VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, the receipt of which is acknowledged, the
undersigned Dublin Fine Arts Foundation ("Owner") located at the address below
does transfer and convey to the City of Dublin, its assigns and successors, all
right, title and interest in the ownership of the Artwork as described below.
