One of the Youth Advisory Committee members informed me.
It is a group of volunteers who plan events for the city and who mainly helps out.
this year, the committee meets every first Thursday of each month. It is mainly
composed of youths that are out to take the responsibility of leadership.
For
I am interested, because I enjoy helping people and serving the community. My goals
are to improve our society and to get involved.
My skills lay in many fields. I am neat and organized when it comes to planning and
scheduling. When with people, I tend to be very open with my ideas. There is much
that I can accomplish when I put my mind to it and I excel in creativity.
If I could be involved in the planning of one event, it would be the Saint Patrick ~s
Day Festival. This is because the festival is a big event in our city and thus, it will
need as many volunteers as possible. As said before, I like to be creative, so I would
greatly enjoy planning and carrying out the plans for the booths, activities, etc.
The activities that I am currently involved in are Interact, the Young Democrats, and
YHA. I will be involved in CSF later.
The activities in #6 will not effect my time commitment to the Youth Advisory
Committee much at all. The events are spaced out and I have flee time.
I would be interested in serving any of these committees, but the Special Event
Planning seems the most attractive.
