FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Improvements Budget:
The improvements are funded through the Internal Service Fund (ISF).
$76,090.00
DESCRIPTION: This project will replace seven existing heating systems at the
Shannon Community Center with new energy-efficient HVAC units. The new units are certified with the
energy star symbol and will serve the administration office, social hall, west/east rooms, kitchen,
preschool and meeting rooms.
The work in this contract includes removing and disposing of the existing heating systems, installing new
energy-efficient HVAC systems, electrical work and new concrete pads for the air conditioning units.
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize solicitation of bids for Contract No. 01-05, Shannon
Community Center HVAC Systems.
