DESCRIPTION:
Seal Program, to American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc.
Slurry seal is a preventive maintenance technique used to prolong the life of asphalt surfacing.
consists of a sand/oil mixture which seals cracks and provides a new uniform wearing surface.
streets are slurfled approximately every five.to seven years, depending upon the level of wear.
On May 15, 2001, the City Council awarded Contract No. 01-06, Annual Slurry

The contractor slurry sealed the following streets: Dougherty Road (North City Limit to 300' north of
Amador Valley Boulevard), Dublin Boulevard (West end to 400' east of Silvergate Drive), Starward
Drive, Maple Drive and Gunshot Court.
Staff has reviewed the work on the project and has determined that the work is complete.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements under Contract No. 01-06 and authorize
the release of retention after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
