1. Why are you interested in serving on the Senior Center Advisory Committee?
I have been a resident of Dublin for 36 years. I have been
involved in many volunteer activities, primarily church related. For
the past three years t have been a Tax Counselor through the
AARPflRS program. I see that a unique oppommity exists now in
shaping the furore prograams and services for seniors. My
background in strategic planning should allow me to contribute to
the planning process.
2. What knowledge do you haVe of the programs and services offered for elder
adults at the Dublin Senior Center?
In addition to the AARP tax counseling program, I have been
attending Art Classes at the Senior Center and have become aware
of the programs and services now offered. Teaching a computer
class for the past few months has enabled me to meet folks who
depend on the center's services and I have a deeper appreciation for
the work done at the Center.
3. Have you or a family member taken advantage of the programs and services
offered at the Dublin Senior Center?
As stated above, I particiate in the art class and teach a beginning
computer class at the Center. My work with the AARP/Tax
Counseling Program and my interest in art takes me to centers in
Livermore and Pleasanton. This has provided me with a wider
view of the types of services available to seniors in the Tri-Valley
area.
Are there addition programs needed for elder adults in our community?
Please describe.
I believe that new programs and services should be based on a
senior community needs assessment. (This may or may not have
been done already.) In our Center programs are limited because of
the inadequacy of thc physical plant. Future programs should not
be limited, io~:.just ~those now .offered: :l?:bc~'Ac:~e- ~ve..should study

7. What is the most important contribution you can make as a member of the
Senior Center Advisory Committee?
First and foremost I :am a Dubliner, My wife and .I have lived in
Dublin for 36 years. We raised our six children here. When we
arrived here from Massachusetts we found Dublin to be a
wellcoming, hospitible place. Folks we met back then are still here.
We love our home town. I want what is best for our citizenry. I
meet a lot of people in my activities and I am a good listener, I
have experience in team work and I am not afraid to work hard in
acheiving to goals set by the groups I work with. I would be
honored to serve my community.
