FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The cost of curb painting will be paid through the Dublin Boulevard
Improvements - Silvergate to Hansen Drive Capital Improvement
Project.
DESCRIPTION: The new lane configuration on Dublin Boulevard east of Hansen
Drive, as well as the installation of traffic signal detector loops, necessitates prohibiting parking on the
north side of Dublin Boulevard just east of Hansen Drive. The total length of the No Parking Zone is 210
feet; however, 30 feet of this length is a driveway so the actual parking area to be eliminated is 180 feet.
This is equivalent to nine (9) parking spaces. Both of the office buildings in this area have on-Site
parking; however, the on-street parking is also utilized to some extent.
Installation of a traffic signal at this location was originally to occur with construction of the Schaefer
Ranch development. However, in response to requests from the residents in the Briarhill area who were
having trouble getting out onto Dublin Boulevard during peak traffic periods, the City Council approved
installation of an all-way stop and escalated construction of the traffic signal.
The revised striping plan for this intersection utilizes the former parking lane as a travel lane and bicycle
lane. In addition, traffic signal detector loops have been placed in this area, precluding parking of
vehicles. Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the No Parking Zone.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING NO PARKING ZONE ON NORTH SIDE OF
DUBLIN BOULEVARD EAST OF HANSEN DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250, and in the interest of
public safety, parking is prohibited on the northerly curbline of Dublin Boulevard, easterly of the Hansen
Drive curb return a distance of 210feet.
Section 2. Said No Parking Zone shall be added to Section 6.28.010 of the City of Dublin Traffic
Code. ,
