Heritage and Cultural Arts Community Workshop

RECOMMENDATION://~~ Approve the date for the workshop.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Sufficient funds are available in the FY 2000-01 Budget
DESCRIPTION: At the November 8 meeting the City Council approved the concept
of a Heritage and Cultural Arts Workshop. In addition the Council approved the recommended list and
number of workshop participants. In order to avoid potential scheduling conflicts in November and
December the Council recommended conducting the workshop on a Saturday in January. Staff was
directed to research a possible date for the workshop and submit it for Council approval.
After conferring with consultants and checking room availability, Staff recommends January 20. The
workshop would be held from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and would include a working lunch.
It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council approve the date for the workshop.
