FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None. DESCRIPTION: The City is presently undertaking two significant General Plan Amendment Studies. During the course of the Planning Commission Public Hearings on the Western Dublin General Plan Study, the issue of water availability to serve the study areas has been raised. In order to provide both the Planning Commission and the City Council with the most available and accurate information possible to date, Staff has arranged with the Dublin San Ramon Services District and Zone 7 to make a presentation to the City Council on the issues of water planning and availability. It is. recommended that _the_. .Council . receive the - presentation, ask any questions that may be appropriate. Staff has also advised the Dublin Planning Commission of the presentation; therefore, it is also recommended the Council provide the Planning Commissioners an opportunity to ask any appropriate questions. We will look forward to an opportunity to make our presentation early on the agenda of your February 24, 1992, City.Council Meeting. _1 understand.that evening's agenda will also include a presentation by the Tri-Valley Wastewater Authority General Manager and EIR team " concerning the recently released Subsequent Environmental Impact Report and project alternatives. it occurs to me that if the Dublin Planning Commissioners can attend the Council Meeting's "utilities presentation" as your suggested to me, it will be a fine opportunity for commissioners and council members to compare and discuss how these proposals complement one another in providing for the planned growth of the City of Dublin. WATER PLANNING REPORT TO THE CITY OF DUBLIN FEBRUARY 24, 1992 V By: Dublin San Ramon Services District Zone 7 of the Alameda County Flood Control & Water Conservation District Tom McCormick, Director Sandy Figuers, Chairman Bob Beebe, General Manager Jim Dixon, General Manager CONTENT: DSRSD: The District will summarize for.the Council and Planning-Commission the operation of the State - Water Project describing the watershed, storage and conveyance facilities and roles of the three principal agencies involved in delivering water to Dublin residents. Planning for supply to West Dublin will also be reviewed. Zsme 7: The Zone will open their remarks with a synopsis of historical water planning and projections for existing facilities capacity to serve endless residents. New policy under consideration by the Zone 7 Board of Directors to meet valley cities prospective general plans while laying the groundwork for retail water rates which fairly reflect differing costs to serve current and new consumers. .t TOTAL P.02
