HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 4.04 Accept Work 93-4 (2)CITY OF DUBLIN AGENDA STATEMENT City Council Meeting Date: May 10, 1993 SUBJECT: Acceptance of Work - Contract 93-04 Topaz Circle Water Service Report by: Public Works Director Lee Thompson EXHIBITS ATTACHED: None RECOMMENDATION: ~ FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Accept improvements constructed under Contract 93-04 and authorize payment in the amount of $3,690 to Jardin Pipeline. A total of $17,000 was budgeted for Topaz Circle landscaping improvements, of which this contract is a part. Staff anticipates that the remainder of the $17,000 will be spent for landscaping and irrigation materials. DESCRIFrlON: The Topaz Circle Landscaping Project is a cooperative effort between the City and the residents of Topaz Circle to install landscaping on some previously unlandscaped portions of the Dougherty Hills open space. The City Council agreed to fund up to $17,000 to install water services, pay utility connection fees, and purchase plant and irrigation materials. Funding for landscaping near the Zone 7 access road is also being provided by Zone 7 and DSRSD. The labor to install plants and irrigation is being provided by the homeowners. Contract 93-04 provided for installation of water services for irrigation. Jardin Pipeline has completed the work in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements constructed under Contract 93-04 and authorize payment to Jardin Pipeline. ~ a:[topazlagstacpt
