Accept improvements under Contract 97-10; authorize payment of
$49,847.67 to Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc. for their final
invoice and release retention in the amount of $5,538.63 after 35
days if there are no subcontractor claims~

DEscRII~TiON: On September 16, 1997, the City Council awarded the Heritage
Center Parking Lot Contract to Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Incorporated. This project implemented

the following improvements: 1) Construction ora paved parking lot ~Sth asphalt concrete, striping for
parking spaces; 2) Irrigation and electrical conduit for future landscaping and lighting; 3) Construction of
a concrete driveway; 4) Removal of existing asphalt sidewalk on Donlan Way and replacing it with a City
standard concrete sidewalk.
All work has been completed as per City plans and specifications. Staffrecommends that Council accept
improvements under Contract 97-10 and authorize payment to Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc.
