The Shannon Center ramp is also paid by General Fund monies through the Park Maintenance Operating Budget. DESCRIPTION: On April 7, 1998, the City' Council awarded the Annual Sidewalk Safety Repair (Remove and Replace) Contract to Strange and Chalmers. This project removed and replaced offset and broken sidewalk and curb and gutter. While maintenance of sidewalks and other frontage improvements is legally the responsibility of the private property owner, the City Council has adopted a CiD,-paid sidewalk repair progam on a year-by-year basis since 1983. The City En_oineer has reviewed the work on the project and has determined that the work is complete and in accordance with the approved specifications.
