FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
No cost associated with quitclaim of property, This action will allow
the Dublin Housing Authority to sell excess property to Shea
Properties for residential units,
DESCRIPTION: The Dublin Housing Authority has negotiated the sale of surplus
property to Shea Properties, who is developing the Park Sierra site on the old Southern Pacific railroad
right of way on the west side of Dougherty Road. A part of the property proposed to be sold to Shea
includes "North Avenue," which in the past was offered for dedication to the County as a public street but
was never accepted. '''North Avenue" was subsequently used as an easement to properties to the north of
this site. The City subsequently obtained a quitclaim from the developers of the Dublin Meadows
Development on Amador Valley Boulevard to perfect the city's interest in "North Avenue."
The title company which is involved with the Shea development has researched the title to "North Avenue"
and feels that the City now has fee title. It is therefore recommended that the City quitclaim its interest in
the "North Avenue" property to the Housing Authority so that it can be included with the property being
sold to Shea.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the quitclaim deed and authorizing
the Mayor to execute the deed.

APPROVING QUITCLAIM OF "NORTH A VENUE" PROPERTY
TO DUBLIN HOUSING AumORITY
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin has real property interest in a parcel ofland lying westerly of
Dougherty Road and adjacent to property owned by the Dublin Housing Authority, as described in the
legal description attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to transfer its ownership of said described property to the Dublin
Housing Authority for subsequent development of residential uses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
approve quitclaim ofthe property known as "North Avenue," which description is attached hereto as
"Exhibit A.," to the Dublin Housing Authority.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute the quitclaim deed.
