FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Parage Permit Fee - $60
DESCRIPTION Dublin High School has tentatively scheduled a
Homecoming Parade on Friday , October 14 , 1983 . Since
the parade route is to be on the City ' s streets , a
parade permit and $60 permit fee is required under
5-16 . 0 of the Dublin City Codes .
Dublin High School has requested that the City waive
the parade permit fee .
Since the school is a community organization, it is
recommended that the City Council approve the issuance
of the parade permit and waive the $60 fee .

Dear Mr. Ambrose,
Dublin High School will be celebrating "Spirit Week" October
10 - 14 with Homecoming being on Friday the 14th. Events scheduled
for that day will include a parade that has tentativly been set
for 1:30 PM beginning at the corner of Amador Valley Blvd. and
Amador Plaza Road. The parade will last for about 45 minutes.
We have been informed that there is a $60 parade permit fee
and are requesting that this fee be waived for the Student Body.

Starting Time: Approx. 2:00 p.m. Termination Time: 2:30 p.m.
2. Minimum Speed: 12 IMPH 3. Maximum Speed: 15 NIPH
4. Piaximum interval of space to be maintained between the units :
30 feet
S. The portions of streets, roads, highways, alleys, or thoroughfares to be
traversed that may be occupied by the parade: Handyman parking lot, East
AVB then North on VPIV to Brighton-East on Brighton to entrance to
Dublin High School football field - utilizing one traffic lane
6. Maximum length of parade in miles of -fractions thereof:
Approximately 1 mile
7. Other information or conditions as the Police shall find necessary to
the enforcement of the terms and conditions of the pe1^iIllt:
Approximately 250 people; 8 floats; 2 pick-up trucks; 14 cars and
one band
S . Dublin High School is responsible for any clean-up necessary.
Duties of Penaittee: A permittee hereunder snail comply with all permit
directions and conditions and with all applicable laws and ordinances. Tile
parade chairm a;-I or other person heading or leading such activity shall carry
the parade permit upon his person during the conduct of the parade.
Revocation of Permit: The Police shall have the authority to revoke the
permit issued hereunder when any of the operations or conduct of such parade
violate any of the conditions listed in the contents of such permit.
"The Dublin Police or its agents, by their issuance of this permit disclaim
any responsibility or legal liability in the event of injury or property
damage which may arise out of the activities authorized by the issuance
of this permit".
