RECONLMENDATION:
FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
By accepting this right-of-way, the City
of Dublin will take on maintenance of
the improvements and cleaning of
roadside ditch and weed abatement.
DESCRIPTION: The City Council approved a project
along the Arroyo Vista development to install ~curb and
gutter, and some drainage and sidewalk work, as part of the
City's Five-Year Capital Improvement Program.
Staff contacted the Pleasanton Housing Authority and
informed them of the extent of the project, and the need for
the dedication of the street right-of-way, prior to the City
spending monies on the improvements.
This offer of dedication satisfies the requirement that the
City spend these monies on publicly-owned or dedicated
rights-of-way.
The design of the subject improvements is nearing completion
and construction is planned for ealy spring.

ACCEPTING, FOR THE PUBLIC,
A GRANT DEED FOR A 55-FOOT STRIP OF PROPERTY
TO BE USED AS STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ON DOUGHERTY ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin proposed to install certain
improvements along the Dougherty Road frontage of the Pleasanton
Housing Authority's development known as Arroyo Vista; and,
WHEREAS, the public funds may not be spent on private
property for private uses; and,
WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Housing Authority has offered a
grant.deed, fifty-five feet wide, along their development
frontage, to be used for public street purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin City
Council does hereby accept this offer of grant deed for public
street purposes on behalf of the public.

The attached notorized Grant Deed and certified Housing
Authority Resolution #613 hereby transfer the enclosed
described right-of-way from the Housing Authority of
the City of Pleasanton to the City of Dublin.
I assume there are several items that the City needs to
do to finalize this action.
If there is anything else that the City of Dublin re-
quires of the Housing Authority to complete this matter,
please advise.

Authorizinq Dedication of Right-A-Way of Arroyo Vista Property to City of
Dublin as Pertaining to Dougherty Road
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority is owner and developer of the
improved low income public housing and dwelling units known as Arroyo Vista
on its property now located in the City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, a condition of granting land use and building permits for
Arroyo Vista was a grant deed transferring title to land necessary to widen
Dougherty Road on the westerly side of said road;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. Public corporation §rant deed from the Housing Authority of the
City of Pleasanton, a state public body, to the City of Dublin, a public body,
is hereby approved as to purpose, form and content;
2. The Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners and the Executive
Director of the Housing Authority are hereby authorized to execute, act and
deliver to the City of Dublin said deed. The real property covered by this
grant deed is a strip of land 55 feet wide measured from the center line of
Dougherty Road westerly and is further described in Exhibit A attached hereto.
