SUBJECT Parade Permit Request from Dublin High School

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Parade Permit Fee - $60 . 00
DESCRIPTION Dublin High School has scheduled a 10 Kilometer race ,
called "The Dublin Run" , at 9 : 00 a.m. on January 22 , 1984 . Since the race
is to occur on Dublin City streets , a parade permit and $60 . 00 permit fee is
required under Dublin City Ordinance 5-1_6 . 0 .
Mr . Tom Cathcart, Dublin High School Track Coach, is to make a verbal
request of fee waiver to the Council at the City Council meeting .
Since the school is a community organization, it is recommended that the'
City Council approve the issuance of the parade permit and waive the $60 . 00
fee .

with the Dublin Police Services a communication in writing from the person

north lane of Brighton Dr.

i. Other information or conditions as the Police shall find necessary to
the enforcement of the terms and conditions of the permit:
A 10 kilometer run beginning and ending at Dublin Highschool.
Dublin Highschool agrees to be responsible for any damage or clean-up
S. that may occur.
Duties of Penaittee: A permittee hereunder shall comply with all permit
directions and conditions and with all applicable laws and ordinances. The
parade chairman or other person heading or leading such activity shall carry
the parade permit upon his person during the conduct of the parade.
Revocation of Permit: The Police shall have the authority to revoke the
permit issued hereunder when any of the operations or conduct of such parade
violate any of the conditions listed in the contents of such permit.
"The Dublin Police or its agents, by their issuance of this permit disclaim
any responsibility or legal liability in the event of injury or property
damage which may arise out of the activities authorized by the issuance
Of this permit".
